Yess, at last...!
I can breathe again, my A Levels result is finally out and validated.
I first got the result on the 12th but as it was only "as for now", i dare not actually celebrate it. But today, the piece of paper is in my hand. Alhamdulillah, praise to Allah, i got a 15 = 3 full A's.

Although the breakdown of the mark for each unit was slightly lower than what i expected, but i am still grateful. My mum said, "with that lifestyle of urs, this is good already". Ok mum...

We (me, Hui Fong, Ah Q, Siew Huan and August) went to INTEC right after our Medical Museum Session. We reached INTEC before 1pm and managed to have lunch with Mr Allan (wanna read abt him? click here =P) and his wife. Yay! Luckily the Ausmat cafe is open thus we do not have to go far for a lunch.

Before we reached INTEC, we went to search for a special gift for Mr Allan first, which was a pack of nasi lemak! The adventure to search for it was an interesting one as nasi lemak is rarely sold in the afternoon. Malaysians usually take it for breakfast. Luckily we managed to get one seller right before they closed their stall and we bought the last packet.

There were a lot of topics being talked abt during lunch. Some of us talked among ourselves, some of us talk with Mr Allan's wife, and some of us talk with Mr Allan himself. The "some of us" refers to students who stayed back to have lunch together. However, we ("we refers to me, Hui Fong, Q, Huan and August) cant afford to spend much time there as i need to go for a meeting with somebody for the ALMANAC magazine. Hence we left earlier. I felt awfully heavy-hearted to leave the crowd. Hurm...

Lastly, thanks and congratulations to each and every one of us for succesfully graduated from our A Levels with good grades, and good disciplines.
I think the reason we were well disciplined is our exam was really early that the pressure of exam overrides our rebellious-ness (if there is such a word). =)

Well, as i mentioned earlier, i planned to watch Upin&Ipin to celebrate my father's birthday. As now is the economy crisis period, :-) my siblings refused to pay for my father's ticket. Well, we dont want him to pay for himself also, as it was his birthday so I need to fish out my own pocket money. Pssstt... JPA, please bank in our money fast... We're dry now!!!

Ok, back to Upin & Ipin, for me the movie was a very goooood one. The animation was superb and the storyline is very meaningful. Every dialogue by the characters have meaning behind it.

I was sincerely amazed with the outcome of this movie as it is a Malaysian product. I thought i was watching Star Wars! As for those who hasnt watch the movie yet, do watch it. I'm not sure if it's still on cinema or not, but it's gonna be a very big loss if you miss it.

i am not going to give the synopsis of the movie here, no point of it. There is plenty of synopsisesout there...
What i can say is the movie is very good for young children and family. It integrates moral values, educational motives, love and affection and it is an enjoyable watch! What more can i say?

Btw, upin&Ipin is very very tiny now, their height barely reach their sister's thigh. But i really wish they wont grow up. I want them to stay small, tiny and cute. Can they?
Even after my graduation, can they still be as tiny as that?
Really hope they will.
Remember how Donald Duck's nephews do not grow?
So can upin&ipin...!

I'd like to correct the mistake i made in the previous post. The one i said cancer cells are produced in our body everyday but our immune system managed to zap them all off.. Well, the statement is INCORRECT. I read about that in one of the health articles i found in the net. Oh oh, feeling real guilty for not remembering which one. But anyway, this is another article i found after much googling on different keywords.

It's either i dont have the idea on what to talk about, or i dont have the time to write what i want to talk abt. Or perhaps both...

I suddenly realised that i have a lot of things to do with so little time left.
so i think in this post i'll juz tell a story, or a few if i have the time.

First Story

I was teaching some of my neighboring kids grammar a few nights ago. The topic for that nite was 'adverbs'. One of the kids asked me, "What is adverb"? At that time, i hvnt look at the questions yet so i simply said "u dont have to know what it really mean". Yikes, i had nvr remember all the names of grammar components. I only know how to use them. Nouns, adverbs, verbs, adjectives, past participle tense, present participle tense, etc... They are juz so hard to be differentiated!

But then, when i go through the questions with them, i realise that adverbs is actually a word with a -ly at the back i.e. carefully, lovingly, loudly...

So now, i can explain what adverb is...
I said, "adverb is when u add a -ly at the back of the word. In Malay, it will be the same as dengan."

I gave a few examples....

I took my SPM in 2006.
12th March 2007 was the date my SPM result being released.
Now, after 2 years, the date started to haunt me again.
Why?
Because my A Level Exam result is going to be released on 12th March 2009.

Anyway, i havent got time to post anything for this one week because i dont know what to post on. I didnt attend most of the orientation activities for this 2nd week. I dont like the obscene concerts and yes, i agree with one of my friend, Hanis. She said "we must have some limitations".

I have juz got back from Shah Alam, doing some work for the magazine.
I really cant wait for the magazine to be published!
It's gonna be awesome!

Lately, i have juz installed transformation pack for my pc, so now my pc look like a mac os pc.

Maulidur Rasul

Today is a public holiday in Malaysia because today is 12 RabiulAwwal.
What is so special abt today? Well, today is the birthdate of our beloved prophet Muhammad pbuh.

I heard and read a lot of opinions on the celebration of this day.
Some say it's bida'ah. That is the "making up" of a festival which human say is compulsary when it is not. In short, a bida'ah is prohibited.

As for my own opinion, i'd think that there is nothing wrong with the celebration. As long as Muslims do not regard this celebration as compulsory. As long as Muslims do not think that they get hasanah@reward for celebrating this day. And as long as Muslims bear in mind that even if we did not celebrate this day, we wont be penalised.

Good muslims will always have Prophet Muhammad pbuh in their hearts.
But for some, and as for me as well, sometimes we are too excited with worldly matters that we forgot Allah's Messenger. Shame on me...

So, this celebration or perhaps better called remembrance is a way to remind us of this Messenger of Allah's. Out of all the Muslims that attend the talks, or any function for this event, undeniably not all will still have the same passion they had towards Prophet Muhammad pbuh during the celebration after a week. But surely at least one or two will maintain that passion and love. It's worth it, isn't it?

I myself had not yet got the opportunity or determination to actually count the numbers of those words mentioned here appeared in the Quran. I believe in proving before believing. But i was very impressed with the numbers quoted here, i decided to post this on. However, i got this from the net and really hope it is the evidence to prove the numbers below.

Dr.Tarig Al Swaidan discovered some verses in the Holy Qur’an that mention one thing is equal to another,

i.e. men are equal to women.

Although this makes sense grammatically, the astonishing fact is that the number of
times the word man appears in Holy Qur’an is 24 and number of times the word
woman appears is also 24, therefore not only is this phrase correct in
the grammatical sense but also true mathematically, i.e. 24 = 24.

We were gathered in front of IMU lobby at 8am and each group were given a map of Bkt Jalil Park where our treasure hunt is. There were altogether 7 stations we need to go to. At the beginning of the treasure hunt, we feel nice, clean and fresh. It was like having a morning walk with friends. The only difference is we need to keep up with the time.

First Station

We were divided into 2. The first group needs to make up 2 of our members into geishas. We were given flour, and Buncho poster colour as cosmetics. Another group were brought somewhere else. I dont know what happened to them but they came back with one of the guy had his shirt taken off and words were written on his back. Scientific terms such as bacteria names etc. Our group won the make up match as our geisha look more like geisha than the other group's. However, the match did not start clean. The seniors rubbed some slimy things on our arms and faces. Luckily i wore long sleeve so they did not mess up with my sleeves so much as it will be harder to remove stains from fabric than skin. But they did put extra green poster colour make up to my face.
Second Station (and the worst)

This is a station conquered by Indian seniors. Some of them actually left IMU Bkt Jalil for IMU Clinical School in Seremban. But they came back here, just to rag us, new students. They prepared a pail of yet again slimy stuffs. Very very very smelly... It is mud colour, and concentrated. They asked the boys to take off their shirts, dip the shirts into the unknown chemical in the pail, squeeze it and wear the shirts back. Eeew!! All the boys smells awful that day. Those who did not wear the boot camp shirt they provided were asked to rub planta and paint on their own faces. Then we were asked to run 5 rounds of the compound, and duckwalk half a compound and run another half.

Then he asked us what is his name. His name is sooo long that until now i cant pronounce it properly. But i'm sure it ended with a 'Nair' on the back. Then he asked us to do a 'helicopter' action. I managed to get my little bro to re-act it for me to capture it on camera.


We were supposed to put our finger on the floor, and turn 5 times for girls and 15 times for boys. After 5 rounds, i got up and everything suddenly went dark and i collapsed onto the floor. The girls rushed to me to take me up from the floor. I lost my consciousness for 1 min (i think) and the senior who made us do that came to me and ask if i'm ok. But, seriously speaking, the way he asked whether i'm ok or not was very sincere and honest. Betuull... X tipu...

Which makes me realise that they just want to have fun with us without any intention of hurting us. Nasib baik....

Our OO (orientation officer) were being ragged as well. It seems our seniors are their juniors.

I left the station feeling very dizzy and tired, while the boys left the station with their very very very smelly shirts on them while some other left with green paint on their faces and planta on their hair. Again, i am very lucky that i wore tudung. My hair was very protected!

Third Station

Here, they asked us to pass salted fish from mouth to mouth. The fish wsa wrapped with paper on the edges and we stood in a line passing the fish from mouth to mouth. The fish was salty! Again, the seniors put eggs on us. Perhaps i look very different from others as i wore my tudung so, they did not actually target all the slimy thngs on me. Lucky!

Fourth Station

We were asked to play in a race that involves a member piggy-carrying another member, two members carrying another member and one more to run. Basically that's it. Not so dirty station.

Fifth Station

What did we do here?
Aaah yes...
We were asked to lie down in a line. 10 of us.
Then we were supposed to pass fruits from front to the bag using legs.
The last person will have to take the fruits and smash them into a cup.
Then, one last person will have to eat it all.
Yikes!
We lost in this race.

Sixth Station

Again, asked to line up and pass water balloons to our members.
One of us will throw the balloon to the person behind him@her and that person will have to catch the balloon using their shirts.

As the station is located on a hill, i managed to get a very beautiful scene of IMU. Yes, undeniably IMU looks very beautiful, and elegant.


Seventh Station (and the last)

This group was controlled by the First Aid Club.
They prepared a pail full of not-so-fresh chicken blood.
In the pail were coins of different values.
We were supposed to carry our member using the four-hand method (a first aid method of transporting casualties) to the pail and the member being carried will have to put his@her hand into the pail and take a coin out.
We must collect RM4.36 in order to win.
The rules are, we must not exceed the value of RM4.36.
If we decided to stop before we exceed it, it's ok. As long as the other group doesnt have a value nearer to RM4.36.
My group won this race.
Haha...
Alhamdulillah...

We were then gathered at the entrance, given nasi lemak and were asked to go back to IMU compound.

All in all, it was fun but tiring, dirty, slimy and wet.
What do i get from this activity?
Chance to be closer with my group members.
And see to what extent can medical students be rough and tough.
Eheh...

Well, i successfully went for the indoor treasure hunt that night despite of tiredness and successfully make myself determined to go back half way through.
Hahaha...

27th Feb 09

That morning (27th Feb 09), we went to The Pavilion KL.
And we're supposed to take public transport i.e. trains, commuters etc
Due to lack of experience dealing with public transport, my group members had a hard time determining which station to head to. Lucky enough i am very familiar with public transport.
We reached The Pavilion, snapped some pictures in front of 3 different shops; MOF (a japanese ice cream shop), Forever 21 and Red Box Karaoke.



In front of Forever 21, we sat on the floor, forming a semi oval shape, each one of us doing different poses, with one of the member pretending to sleep in the middle of the semi oval. It was so embarrassing but exciting in the same time. After a few snap shots, we gathered to have a look at the photos. Guess what? 2 security guards came to us because they thought one of our gang fainted. He was asking whether we are ok or not. Haha.. Sure we did attract attention on that day.

At 1.40pm, i left the group as i need to rush for something else at 3pm.
On my way back home, i saw a lot of Muslim men juz finished their Friday prayers. A scene I've always liked because it somehow reflected the ukhwah (relationship) Muslims have among themselves.

At 5pm, i finished my work and was really thinking hard whether or not to go for the indoor treasure hunt. I msg-ed Amanda (one of my group members) on when shd we gather and she asked whether i'm going or not. Thinking of how a nice girl she is, i decided to go for it. After all, i made some friends. But of course, my decision to go for the activity is also heavily influenced by somebody i regard as my mentor. Eheh..

The activity started with movie session. They made us watch Quarantine, to get us the feeling of being trapped inside IMU building, with zombies everywhere and we need to hunt for our treasure. All lights will be switched off for that purpose. I watched the movie for the first 40minutes (if i'm not mistaken) and there are already a lot of blood. I had always dislike hollywood horror movie as it is more violent than horror. Japanese or korean horror movies are a lot better because they are scary, but not violent.

I was scared watching the movie (a fact i might not want to admit) but, even scared thinking that i need to drive back alone in the middle of the night. I went bac earlier during the wet ice breakers and i thought of doing the same thing tat night. But, they'll be swtiching all lights off! How am i going to my car alone? After discussing with Ain and Atikah, i decided to go back at 8pm. Even before the movie ended. Eheh..

The next day, i found out that they finished the treasure hunt at almost 12pm.
Lucky me!

There will be another post on my experience during the outdoor treasure hunt. The dirtiest, slimiest, smelliest, worst orientation i had ever experience.
I even fainted!
Eheh...
Will find time to write on it.
