Abu Syasyah Village in Palestine was attacked by Israel terrorists. The villagers’ heads were axed and some were shot dead. 50 people died.

On the very same day, British ended their “colonisation” over Palestine and a new state was declared on the Palestinian land. The next day, US President recognised the state. The state is known as “Israel”, and the day was 15^th May 1948 (some of the sources mentioned 15th May 1948). However, Al-Nakbah is always on 15th May every year.

Since then, there were a lot of massacres done by the Israeli Army towards the Palestinian people. Palestinian lands were taken from the rightful owner. Palestinians were chased out of their own houses and they need to go to refugee camps. Those who did not flee, died protecting their houses.

And now, after 61 years the Palestinians were still suffering and the Zionists were still terrorising but, they didn’t call themselves terrorists. They call themselves “Israeli Defence Force”. The Palestinians, who fought for their land and rights, who rather die fighting than watch their wives and sisters being humiliated, who rather live in poverty rather than surrendering, who prefer their heads being exploded by the bully than to turn from the jihad call, were called “Muslim Terrorists” instead. I’m pretty sure even a 5 year old child will know how to differentiate between the bully and the one being bullied.

Last year, sometime between 20^th-25^th December, my best friend, a non-Muslim asked me if I hate the Jews. She asked because my housemate placed an “AL-Nakba” poster on our hostel wall. The poster stated that US is the country that funded Israel the most to enable Israel to occupy more and more of Palestinian land. My answer was, “can say hate, can say not hate. I don’t really know. Perhaps not”. I answered that because 1) I didn’t know what did the Jews do. So why should I hate them? 2) I didn’t want this friend to think that I am a racist. Because Islam does not teach racism. Everybody is equal. Only the level of taqwa that differentiate a human from another.

Few days later, Israel started its “Cast Lead” operation. 60 fighter jets known as F16 was sent to destroy Gaza Strip and its people. That was on 27^th Dec. I didn’t know it that time. Being somebody who didn’t read newspaper, I wasn’t aware of the attack.

The next day, I went to Genting Highland for a holiday with my family despite me having my A Levels exam in 10days time (at that time). When I got back to KL, I was told about the attack. At first, I took it lightly. Because I thought Palestine had always been attacked. So why is this one different? I had heard about the conflict about years thus, this one did not trigger me at all. Then, I went back to my hostel. I met my friends, and they started talking about the attack. And only then, I realised that this attack is exceptionally different. This attack is the cruelest attack of the century. Civilians were killed blindly, not only the army. I began to understand why people talked about this attack so much, why this specific massacre was given wide coverage.

And I started to take action. I told the friend (whom I told I do not actually hate Jews) that I hate the Israelis so much now. I hated them to the bottom of my heart because they killed Palestinians simply because they are Palestinians. My housemates and I painted a banner to encourage people to boycott American and Israeli products. We put the banner outside a window.

This is actually the sequel of my previous post on Gaza.
This post will focus on the dates and event starting from 1897 till the very latest massacre by the zionist in Jan 09. My personal comment will be in brackets, green font.

29th August 1897

The first jewish conference was held in Basle, Switzerland to form a state of Israel in Palestine in 50 years time. For that reason, they declared a protocol and formed Zionist movement with Theorore Herzl as the first leader. But, it must not be forgotten that zionism existed way long before the conference. (I think the year 1897 was the year the idea was officiated, not formed).

In 1901, they collected fund to "buy" Palestine. At that time, Palestine is still under the rule of Muslim Ottoman Empire.

1902

One year later, after failing the 1st time, Theodore went to see the last Caliphate of Islam, Sultan Abdul Hamid II and offered to pay tremendous amount of money to the Islamic state for Palestine. And the famous reply of Sultan Abdul Hamid II was:-

2 November 1917

British declared in Balfour Declaration to form a Jewish state in Palestine. (In other words, James Balfour promised the Palestine land to the Jews. 31 yrs later, in 1948, his promise went through). On 31st August 1918, this declaration was agreed by the US.

1924

Muslim Ottoman Empire was dissolved by Islam worst traitor, Mustaffa Kamal. He was the agent of the West and became the "hero" with the help of British. He cancels the autorithy of the most powerful system for the human beings - The Khilafah! Before this, the imam, or amir, or leader of Islamic caliphate acted as a shield to the ummah while the ummah fought behind him. There was only 1 land, 1 army and 1 central authority.

By abandoning the khilafah, he abandoned all rulings of Allah, and he did not stop there. He abandoned the azan (call for prayer) in Arabic, he denied the call of hijab on Muslim sisters, he cancelled the Islamic calendar and holidays, he changed Arabic alphabet to Latin. And by doing so, h emade sure the next generation will be lost and have no connection to their Islamic roots as rhey cannot read nor write all the Islamic culture that was recorded. Thus, the Islamic system went from application in life to be in the museums for display in Turkey.

1928

Ikhwanul Muslimin was formed by Al Imam Hassan al Banna in Egypt. It was the first movement that united the Muslims after the fall of Ottoman Empire. Ikhwanul Muslimin calls upon all Muslims to stay united and get back to the real teachings of Islam; to form Islamic personality in themselves, their family, society and country. The teachings of Hassan al Banna succeeded when the followers of Ikwanul Muslimin became the front line army in the war against the Jews in 1948.

20 November 1935

A renowned Muslim scholar from Syria, as-Syahid Izzuddin al-Qassam was martyred in the fight with British. His death initiated the anger of Muslims. The rockets invented by Hamas was named after this brave martyr.

16 August 1945

President of US, Hary S Truman gave out an open statement urging the Jews to migrate to Palestine and settle there.

9 April 1948

The violent attack by Israeli militant led by Manachem Begin killed 250 civilians Dir Yasin where 100 of them where women. Those who survved were brought in a truck in front of the Jewish people to be stoned. 19 years later, in Jun 1977 this terrorist leader (Manachem Begin) was appointed as the PM of Israel.

14 May 1948

Israeli terrorists killed 50 Palestinians in Abu Syasyah village. The Palestinians were shot dead and some were even chopped of their heads.

On this very same day, British ended its occupation in Palestine and declared the formation of the haram state of israel.

15 May 1948

One day after the independence declaration, Arab countries declared war on Israel. Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon sent their troops to Palestine. As-Syahid Hassan al Banna led Ikhwanul Muslimin to the war but this act led to the assasination of Imam Hassan al Banna by the Egyptian government in 1949. (InsyaAllah i'll post another article on this some time later).

• 11 July 1948 - Mosyi Dayan led Israeli Commando to attack al-Lad village killing 426 people.
• 29 Oct 1948 - Israeli army gathered civillians in a field in 'Albiyyun. These civillians were then shot from all directions.
• 31 Dec 1948- Jewish fanatics known as Hajnah attacked and killed 60 muslims in as-Syeikh village.

• 12th Feb 1949 - Imam as-Syahid Hassan al Banna was shot dead by assasinator paid by King Farouq of Egypt. The death of Imam al Banna opened the eyes of Muslims towards his mission.
• 16 Dec 1949 - Baitul Maqdis or Jerusalem was declared as Israel capital city.

• 17 Mac 1950 - Turkey and Iran recognised the state of Israel.
• 31 May 1950- Israeli Guerilla attacked Wadi Arabah killing 30 Arabs.
• 14 Oct 1953 - Qabbiah village was bombed by Israeli army for 16 hrs non stop, martyred 62 people. Water supply of the villagers was destroyed.
• 7 Dec 1954 - Another Muslim movement leader, as-Syahid Abdul Qader audah was hanged with another 5 fighters by Egyptian PM, Jamal Abdun Nasir.

• 28 Oct 1956 - Ariel Sharon with another 19 Israeli army massacred the Palestinians. The curfew was supposed to start at 6pm thus, the farmers will usually leave their farm earlier. But on that day, at 4.45pm, they suddenly announced the curfew to start at 5pm, 1hr earlier. The Palestinian farmers were on their way back home at 5.30-5.45pm when Ariel Sharon shot them dead from the entry of the village killing 57 people and hurting another 27.

• 29 Oct 1956 - Israel, British and France joined forces to attack Egypt in order to seize and conquer the Suez canal. Malaysian students studying in Al-Azhar, Egypt joined the jihad army and went thru short army training. They were absorbed into Difa' Madani (Public Defense Force) The female students of Malaysia participated by sewing uniforms for the army.

• 3rd November 1956 - al-Rais refugee camp in Khan Yunus were attacked, killing 250 Palestinians.
  
• 12 Nov 1956- (a week later), they killed another 257 Palestinians. On the same day, the went to Rafah and killed more than 100 Palestinians.

• 29 Aug 1966 - The successor of Imam al-Banna, Syed Qutb was killed by Egyptian PM Jamal Abdun Nasir.
• 13 Nov 1966- Israeli army killed 18 Palestinians and injured another 54 in al-Khalil (Hebron).

• 8April 1970 - Muslims were massacred in Bahrul Baqar

• 6 Jun 1982 -Israel attacked Lebanon with the excuse that PLO (Palestine Liberalisation Organisation) is preparing its army there
• 16 Sept 1982 - Defense Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon violently killed more than 3000 Muslims in Sabra and Syatila, Lebanon. In order to provide "false resolution" to the world society, the military court conducted trials and those found guilty were only fined 14sen USD only! 19 yrs later, in 2001 the terrorist leader, Ariel Sharon became Israel PM.

• 1987 - HAMAS, the wing of Ikhwanul Muslimin was formed in Palestine. Syeikh Ahmad Yasin was regarded as the founder of Hamas.
  
• 9 Dec 1987 - Intifadha started. Palestinians openly fought Israeli army by throwing stones on them. Syeikh Ahmad Yasin was captured and jailed.

• 15 Feb 1988 - Israeli army used buldozer to bury 4 Muslim fighters alive but with Allah's power, all 4 of them survived.
• 16 April 1948 - Abu Jihad, a Palestinian minister was assasinated by Israel.

• 24 Nov 1989 - Dr Abdullah Azzam, a Palestinian fighter with his 2 children were killed in Pakistan after he succeded in uniting the Pakistani mujahideen.

• 8 Oct 1990 - Killings in Al-Aqsa. Armed Isreali army came to the mosque and shooted randomly towards Muslims who were performing their prayers. 21 martyred, 150 injured while 300 captured.

• 13 Sept 1993 - Yitzak Rabin, the Israel PM signed an agreement with Yasser Arafat giving Gaza strip and Jericho to the Palestinians. The area was only half of Perlis state of Malaysia. 2 years later, Rabin was assasinated because Isrealis did not agree with the division.

• 1997 - After 10 years being jailed, Syeikh Ahmad Yasin was freed in an exhange with 2 Jewish spies caugt by the Jordan government. Syeikh Ahmad Yasin lost his ability to move. He was paralysed as a result of the torture he received in the jail.

(i skipped some events from 1997 - 2002. Not because they werent significant but they were just too many events. i'll give my reference later.)

• 29 January 2002 - Wafa' Idris, a 26 year old Red Crescent volunteer became the first lady to bring explosives to the central of Baitul Maqdis and exploded herself (amaliyyah istisyhadiyyah). Few days later, muslim scholars in Al-Azha announced her death as syahid.

• 22 March 2004 - Syeikh Ahmad Yassin was shot dead by missile from an Apache as he went out of the mosque after Subuh prayer. His head was crushed and his arm fell apart. (It was said that the price of one bullet that killed Syeikh Ahmad Yassin was equal with the budget of Selangor state of Malaysia for one year!) Hamas was then led by Dr Abdul Aziz Rantisi, replacing Syeikh Ahmad Yassin.
• 17 April 2004 - Less than 1 month after he succeeded Syeikh Ahmad Yasin, Dr Abdul Aziz Rantisi was killed. Israeli Aache bombed his car martyred him and his two friends.

• 27 December 2008 - Israel started a 3 week attack on Palestine killing more than 1350 Palestinians. It was said however, that Hamas did not report the number of their own fighters who died. 1350 was the number of civilians who died.

The End Of The Zionist Agenda

The first convention i went for, and i was alone.

Nevermind that, there were more than 3000 of us in the Merdeka Hall PWTC.

The speakers were Dr Azzam Tamimi, Dr Muhsen Soleh and Dr Roslan. The first two are Palestinians now based in England and Beirut respectively. Dr Roslan on the other hand is our own local speaker.

The convention made me think of some new things and enlightened me on a few others. One of the hardest info to believe was Dr Azzam’s statement on the coming of the Mahadi. As i was taught since small, Imam Mahadi will come when the world is coming to its end. In another book i read recently (Jerusalem in the Quran by Imran N. Hosein), Imam Mahadi’s role will be the same as John the Baptist (Nabi Yahya) more than 200 years back. Nabi Yahya identified Jesus (Isa) at that time. And when Mahadi appears, he will do the same thing, identify and declare Isa as the man we have been waiting for. Dr Azzam however, rejected this opinion completely. And i got to know that a prominent Muslim scholar, Ibn Khaldun rejected this as well. Dr Azzam said that Muslims shd not wait for Mahadi, we should be fighting this battle of ourselves which I agree. We shd not sit quietly waiting for a hero to come and save us all. This goes back to my post on “Locus of Control” where we actually have control over our destiny, a limited one.

He mentioned that waiting for a hero to save us is an act of desperation, and we should not believe in it. But, i became confused when he mentioned both Mahadi and Messiah in the same time. He mentioned Mahadi is not coming but he didn’t say Messiah is coming. Nor did he say both Mahadi and Messiah are the same person. As far as i know, Messiah is NOT Mahadi. But he somehow “integrated” this 2 persons into 1.

I had a feeling that he is a bit pro-jew during his 1st presentation entitled Judaism vs Zionist. It was either i misunderstood him or not, i’m not sure. But he said that it wasn’t the Jew’s fault to be placed in Jerusalem. It wasn’t even their 1st choice. It was the Europeans i.e British or more accurately, Christian’s plan to place them there. The Christians believed that their Messiah will come and kill all Jews in Jerusalem, thus they want the Jews to be there earlier. He said the Jews did not even want to go to Jerusalem and it was the role of Hitler who massacred Jews and forced them to flee from Europe and settled down in Jerusalem. It was as if the Jews were innocent and the British are to be blamed (at that time, not now).

And I disagree. History proved that the Jews had always made mischief in the country and cause havoc almost everywhere. I don’t deny that they are good Jews (one of Caliph Umar AlKhattab’s friend was a Jew, even Prophet Muhammad SAW has good Jew friends). But, in most cases, Jews are always dishonest and untrustworthy. They broke Sahifatul Madinah (the 1st constitution of Madina and also an agreement between the people of Madina, including Jews. The Jews cooperated with the Kafir in Makkah to attack Prophet Muhammad SAW in Madina). As a result, they were chased out of Madina. There is also a verse from the Quran [2;85] stating clearly that Jews always broke their promise (an act we often see today). Hence, it won’t be inappropriate if i say that Jews played an important role in chasing the Palestinians out of their hometown, it wasn’t planned only by the British.

But, in his second presentation, Dr Azzam showed his aggressiveness in criticising the Jews for taking his land away from his family, which actually brought the burden out of my heart a bit. At least he still blames the Jews, not only the British. I admired his open-ness and daring-ness (if such a word exists). He openly claimed Husni Mubarak and Mahmoud Abbas to be Arab Muslim-Zionists.

Dr Muhsen, from my point of view, has a milder personality, not as stern as Dr Azzam. Or perhaps i think of him that way because he did not use the b*****d and b****y words Dr Azzam used. And i think he was the one who mentioned that Jerusalem is the heart of the Muslims. And if British do not want the Islamic empire to rise, they will need to “stab” its heart, and the heart is Jerusalem. Thus, it was a very wise decision to put Israel in Jerusalem apart from the fact that Palestine is a very strategic spot.

Dr Roslan had only one presentation, but it should not be neglected. He presented on the Fall of Ottoman Empire. We can’t move forward without knowing our history and thus, reading his paper stating that one of the causes that weakens Ottoman empire was the Arab Revolt made me shudder. This means, Muslims have been divided even earlier on. The British did not only “divide and conquer” in Malaysia but also way before that in Turkey.

Doesn’t that fact reflect an important proof? Muslims need to unite to achieve the victory.

The whole area from south Lubnan in the north to Sinai Peninsula in the south, from Jordan river in the east to the Mediterranean sea in the west belongs to Muslims. The land is known as Palestin or “Daulah Filastiniyyah”.

The key of Jerusalem, or Baitul Maqdis, or Illyaa’ was given to Caliph Umar Al-Khattab by the Patriach of Jerusalem. Among these two, there was an agreement, known as “The Treaty of Umar”. An extract of the agreement:-

“In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Beneficent.

This is what the slave of Allah, Umar b.Al-Khattab, the Amir of the believers, has offered the people of Illyaa’[1] of security granting them Amaan (protection) for their selves, their money, their churches, their children, their lowly and their innocent, and the remainder of their people.

Their churces are not to be taken, nor are they to be destroyed, nor are they to be degraded or belittled, neither are their crosses or their money, and they are not to be forced to change their religion, nor is any one of them to be harmed.

No Jews are to live with them in Illyaa’...”

And so, the Christians and Muslims lived together peacefully. But that is not the end.

When the Crusaders attacked and conquered Baitul Maqdis about 477 years later (492H), they massacred more than 70,000 Muslims in Masjidil Aqsa. They killed Islamic scholars, imams and students. The Muslims then lived under the oppressions of the crusaders. 91 years later, Sultan Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi liberated Jerusalem from the Crusaders.

That was a very brief intro on Muslims’ Sacred Land, Palestine.

Gaza, or Ghazzah, is the second largest city in Palestine after Jerusalem. Most of the Gaza people stays in refugee camps such as Khan Yunus Camp, Dir Balah Camp, Rafah Camp and Jabalia Camp, just to name a few.

There are 7 ways out of Gaza strip but 6 of these are controlled by the Zionist. The one not controlled by the Zionist is Rafah which is controlled by Egypt since 2005. Although Rafah crossing is controlled by Egypt, a country with the same religion and race as Palestine, Egypt had never make it easier for the Palestinians. Egypt is very worried that Palestinians might use the Rafah crossing as a way for them to get weapons and help.

With all the gates out of Gaza strip controlled, Gaza strip had became a jail for its own people.

Gaza was occupied by the British until she was given to Egypt in 1948. In 1956 however, British launched an attack on Egypt, seizing Gaza from Egypt. But after 5 months, the Israeli army withdraw from Gaza and Egypt continued to rule Gaza starting March 1957.

On June 7^th 1967, Israel occupied the whole Gaza peninsula, Sinai Peninsula and the West Bank. 3 days later, Israel succeeded in seizing Golan Heights from Syria.

6 years later, in 1973 Husni Mubarak led Egypt Air Force with Syria to attack Israel to liberate Sinai Peninsul from Israeli occupation. They succeeded gloriously, Israel was chased out until Taba border.

But Gaza remained occupied by Israel. And Egyptian President, Anwar Sadat began to be “friendly” with Israel. On 19^th November 1977, Sadat became the first Arab leader to make an official visit to Israel and signed Camp David Accord (17^th Sept 1978). Egyptian however, cannot accept this fact that their leader betrayed fellow Muslims thus, Sadat was assassinated by his own army officer in 1981.

Fighters of Gaza, Hamas and Jihad Islami tried their best to chase Israelis out of Gaza. They launched intifadha(s), one of them known as amaliyyah istisyhadiyyah where they invented their own explosives. But, the only way to explode it is by bringing the explosives themselves to the middle of the enemy’s group. This was the “suicide bombers” described by the western world. However, most of Muslim scholars not only said the act was not a suicide, but went further by declaring them martyrs (asy-Syahid).

Israel was shocked by these brave attacks by Gaza fighters who dreamt of martyrdom more than the Israelis dreamt of luxurious lives.

But the fighters knew they can’t depend on amaliyyah istisyhadiyyah for long, as that will mean they will have to sacrifice more of their youths. Thus, they invented their own rockets, known as Al-Qassam Rocket. Unable to stand with the amaliyyah istisyhadiyyah and Al-Qassam Rockets attacks, the Israelis withdraw from Gaza in September 2005.

The whole world savoured the moment of that freedom. Gaza is at last independent. Gaza crossing is at last open for the Muslim world to channel their aids to the people in Gaza. People of Gaza can also cross to Egypt to get their daily needs. But all these remained a dream. Egypt closed the Rafah crossing with the excuse that Gaza is still under the rule of Israel. The whole world criticised Egypt but Husni Mubarak; the man who was the hero of people of Egypt; the man who led Egypt Air Force against Israel thus liberated Sinai Peninsula did not even moved an inch from his decision to close the Rafah crossing.

As time passes, Palestinians lose their trust on Fatah leaders as Fatah did not show any signs that they will liberate Palestine from Israel. Thus, in the 2006 election, Fatah lost to Hamas, with a Hamas leader; Said Siyam got the highest vote, 75 880 votes. With this, he was entrusted with the post of Minister of Home Affairs.

As Hamas is the “smaller brother” of another movement in Egypt, “Ikhwanul Muslimin” which means “Brotherhood of Muslims”, Mubarak was afraid that Ikhwanul Muslimin might win in the Egypt election. Thus, Mubarak placed a heavier oppression towards Gaza. He threatened to close Rafah crossing forever unless Hamas returned the ruling power to Fatah and accept an international observer.

On 25^th December 2008, the Foreign Minister of the Haram State of Israel; Tzipi Livni paid a visit to Mubarak in Cairo, to inform him of the condition in Gaza that is posing greater threat to Israel. 2 days later, 60 US-made Fighting Falcons F16, attacked Gaza strip, killing more than 200 Muslims in just one day. The attack did not stop there, it went further for 3 weeks, with the number of deaths amounting to 1350, mostly civilians.

Oh yes, i've juz set up my facebook account today.
My initial reason was to grab some of the pics my seniors took during the camp but i ended getting engrossed with it. (or is it just because it is something new to me?)

Anyway, i spent quite a lot of time on facebook today, something i can say i am sad with it but can help it.

Perhaps this is just a thing i'm crazy abt for now, i'm pretty sure this craze will subside as i get myself busier with more important things (like studying and getting to know more things abt the world).

To kick start this post, i'll juz tell one fact: i went to a leadership camp held by IMU Muslim Society during last weekend (24-27 apr) in Sg Tekala.

Though we got lost during our journey there, it certainly didnt dampen my spirit to have fun during the camp. Oooh.. i wasnt suppose to have the intention to hv fun there, i was supposed to learn new things there..

Anyway, the camp was a beneficial one. It successfully cut me off from the reality for 2 days and just be with my friends, strengthening the bonds with them. One of the activity i suprisingly enjoyed the most was the night walk. We were brought deep into the jungle at night, in the dark without torchlights, to let us test ourselves on how much we depend on Allah.

That was my first time doing a night walk, although i joined a lot of camps before, i somehow skipped the "night walk" session because i fell ill, or some other reasons. I was brought into the forest, and then left alone for some time. I was told to remember Allah (zikir), and read verses of the Quran. That was the one time i spent my time and dedicated my heart only for reciting verses of the Quran and zikir. during the sharing session after the night walk, i wanted to speak out, and share my experiences with the others but somehow i didnt do it.

Of course, another fun activity will be playing in the river!! i learnt a lot of new games from my friends and we played for hours in the river. I can only blame myself for the flu i'm having now. Haha...


One of the activities were talks on Palestine which unfortunately i missed as i went back to IMU sending my sick friend back. The other talk was on the world today. How we were programmed
to live the way some forces want us to live. i have juz finished reading "Jerusalem in The Quran" by Imran N Hosein and it was a mind-opening book. It explains the situation the world is facing now, the riba that is dominating almost everybody now, and also the conquer of Jerusalem by Israel.

Ok, as i told earlier, i went to an interfaith forum.
The topic of discussion was whether religion and science conflicts with each other or not.

The speaker representing Islam was Mr Shah Kirit (one of my fav), Uncle Vijaya representing Buddhism, Dr Living Lee representing Christianity while Prof (i'm truly sorry i cant remember the name, pls do inform me if u know the name) representing Hinduism.

Towards the end of the forum, the moderator asked if the member of the floor have any question. And since the beginning of the forum, i had been wanting to ask but i dared not.
At last i plucked my courage and stood up to ask the questions that had been disturbing my mind.


Anyway, that is not what i want to draw my readers' attention to. The major issue here is the questions i asked.


Perhaps it was partly my fault that my nervous-ness somehow overshadowed my questions that the speakers did not catch what i really wanted to say.

The Muslim speaker said Islam do not accept theory, only scientific facts based on proofs.

The Christian speaker said it's rubbish that ppl denies the existence of God.

The Hindu speaker somehow agrees with the evolution (i think that's what he said). And he added, where we come from is not important. What important is where we ended.

The Buddhist speaker's answer wasnt very clear. But he said not only where we ended is important, but how we live now is more important than where we came from. So, live now (at least that was what he said)

For the 2nd question, Uncle Vijaya said religion does not have to change to accept these immoral act but rather it's ok if it is beneficial for u and me.
I really wanted to ask more, "does that mean religion cant accept free sex because the act transmits STDs around the world, but if free SAFE sex is applied, religion permits it? It doesnt harm u and me."
But since there was lack of time, the question was never asked.

From the little and limited knowledge i have, i know that Muslims believe that Adam was the first human in the world. He was sent down to Earth as a HUMAN. Not merely a single cell that somehow evolved randomly and became what we are now. Hence, this itself denies the theory of evolution completely. Christians will have the more or less same opinion, if not exactly the same.

But i really do not know what a Buddhist or a Hindu think of this theory of evolution. Where living beings actually came from a single cell.

Anybody will like to give any thought?

Well, i had my Behavioural Science lecture this morning, regarding Personality..

There is an aspect of personality called "Locus of Control".
It basically means who or where someone put the control, responsibility and choice for the events in their lives.
And there are 2 locus of control; externally and internally.

External Locus of Control

This is when the person always "leave everything to destiny".
For example:

• "If i am destined to get cancer, whatever i do, i'll still get cancer. But if i'm not destined to get cancer, no matter what i did, i wont get cancer. So, what's the purpose of taking care of myself?

• "If i am destined to marry him@her, no matter how i ran from him@her, i'll still end up marrying him @ her"

Internal Locus of Control

This is exhibited by those who believes they have full control over themselves.
For example:

• "If i say i want to get all As for my A Level exams, and get into the Dean's list during my degree program, i'm going to get it provided i'm doing all the revisions i can"

The lecturer mentioned something about religion or personal belief which, in many ways affect someone's locus of control. Someone who is religious might fall into the first category, the external locus of control because the person believes that God is the controller of everything. As a human being, he had no control over his own life. It's all destined.

But that was only what the lecturer said.

I don't have to really agree, must i?

As a muslim, i put myself under Allah's control.
He set everything for me.
It's all written in my destiny on whatever is going to happen in my life.
Whether this post is going to get published, or being kept only as draft, he knew, and he decides.
But that doesnt mean i don't have to do anything for myself.
Why?
Because i will never know what is destined for me before i go through it.
I will never know if i am destined to meet someone this evening until i met that person.


It's even written in the Quran that Allah will not change the condition of somebody unless they change it themselves first.

Allah will not prevent cancer from striking somebody until they try to prevent it themselves first.

Allah will not prevent a driver from hitting the back of another car before the driver pressed the brake himself first.

Allah will not give us good lives, good families unless we try to set up our own ways to live first.

Allah will not allow me to get good grades in exams unless i studied hard first.

So, who's the controller now?
This examples show that we are the controller...
How come i can say that Muslims believe Allah is the controller?

Well, for an example,

I studied very very hard, and smart for my upcoming exam.
With this effort of mine, i am sure i can get good grades.
That's an example of me controlling my own effort.
But suddenly, i fell sick on the examination day.
Terribly ill that i cant even focus on the questions.
So, who is in control now?

Or perhaps, a worse case.
Something happened to any of my family members that i couldnt come for the exam.
Is that still under my control?

Hurm...

The History

Jerusalem was once ruled by King David (Nabi Daud) and succedeed by his son, King Solomon (Nabi Sulaiman). During the era of these 2 kings, the world was ruled by the Jews. Both David and Solomon are Jews. It can be said that during this period of time, Jews conquered the world. This is what exactly the modern days Jews trying to do. They are trying to bring back the empire of David and Solomon. Don't be surprised if Israel is going to replace US as the "power of the world"...

Some time (i'm sorry i dont know the exact duration) after that, the Romans conquered Jerusalem. Starting from here, there were a lot of wars in Jerusalem. The Jews tried to get Jerusalem back, the Romans recaptured Jerusalem and so on and so forth...

Then, the Jews managed to get Jerusalem back under their rule, but it didnt last long. The Romans got Jerusalem back, and as a punishment, the Romans banned Jews from entering Jerusalem. This is the starting point where the Jews lost their country. There were no Israel country starting from the ban until 1948, which is 61 yrs back. The Romans changed the name from Jerusalem to Palestine in order to de-judaise Jerusalem. (pls note that P-A-L-E-S-T-I-N-E is not the Romans spelling, they spell it differently)

In the year 634 (some articles say 637), which is around 1,375 years back, Khalifah Umar Al Khattab, the second khalifah of Khulafa Al-Rasyidin conquered Jerusalem. He went into Palestine personally to receive its submission. Khalifah Umar permitted the Jews to come back to Jerusalem and stay there with the Muslims. He also guaranteed the safety of the non-Muslims under Muslim's rule.

Around 460 years later; in 1099, Jerusalem was conquered by the Crusaders who massacred the Jews and Muslims. Akmar says: pity, pity.... cruel, cruel...

In 1187, 88 years after the Crusade war (882 years ago), a Muslim hero named Sultan Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi recaptured Jerusalem from the crusaders. Sultan Salahuddin was a very renowned and respected king among all other excellent kings of Muslim Caliphates. He was looked upon as the most powerful head of a considerable part of the Muslim world. Akmar says: Will the world now get a chance to see another Sultan Salahuddin Al Ayyubi that will unite the Muslims of the world? We can't be pointing each other forever. Muslimins! Point to urself 1st before to other ppl..

In 1517, 330 years after Salahuddin, Jerusalem was taken over by the Ottoman empire (Empayar Turki Uthmaniyah).

After 400 years being ruled by Muslim Caliphates, in 1917, British Army conquered Jerusalem which is 92 years ago. On 3rd March 1924, the Ottoman Caliphate was dissolved. And there goes the end of Muslim rule. There are no more Khalifah of the Muslims following the abolition 85 years ago.

British Mandate was extablished in 1920. I'd say that the simplest thing can be said regarding this mandate is that Jerusalem is under British's control. Akmar says: Sad....

28 years later, in 1948 Israel declared its own independence in a SECRET CEREMONY, click here to read abt the ceremony. Soon after the declaration, Iceland and Guatemala are some of the few countries that recognized State of Israel. The supposedly Israel should be a very small country, a neighbour of Palestine.

The Arabs were upset of the secret independence thus troops were sent from Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, which started the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. The war officially ended on 24 July 1949 after abt 1 year. The Israellites won the war, which forces the Arabs to be contented with the new imaginary country. Until now, Iran does not have any diplomatic relation with Israel. Akmar says: Go go go Iran!

Now, in 2009, Israel occupied more than half of Palestine lands, illegally and cruelly. Not only that, they built wall to reduce the population of the Palestinians and prevent any uprising of the Palestinians. I'll talk abt the wall in my next post. It's getting late now and i need to sleep or i'll sleep during lectures tomorrow...

So, take your own time to digest the facts i juz poured to you and think if whatever happening now is correct or not, and what is your role in the world now. I believe we are here not only to study, excel, work, have family, and die. We have bigger responsibilities than that... =)
